The City has improved storm drainage within the community. As part of the new city park project, storm water retention basins were created to help hold and store large storm water flows until a storm event has passed, when it can be released more slowly and safely. In addition, a brand new storm drain main line has been extended from 550 South all the way to Spring Creek Wash. These improvements will benefit the City for years to come.
Citizens can greatly help with storm drainage within the city by keeping street gutters, borrow pits and culverts free from debris. Crushed or bent culverts need to be repaired or replaced.
Check with the City before doing work that may affect storm drainage, such as adding culverts or driveway/accesses that will cross a storm drainage channel. Click HERE for an information sheet on Culverts and Valley Gutters.
